Rainy mornings, Sunny afternoons

Today was one of those days that we all thought would be a tough one. The rain cam pouring down this morning, and the kids came in with lots of energy. We did not get outside after breakfast, and everyone played tub toys while the teachers set up their morning activities. By the time we split up into groups at 9am, the rain was still pounding steadily. We gathered the children together to sing a fee songs before the transition and sang "Mr. Golden Sun". We asked the kids to think sunny thoughts and moved on to our morning activities.
By the time snack time rolled around at 10am, the sun had started to peek out, and when the kids were all outside at 10:15 the skies were blue. Pretty lucky! Thanks, kids, for your sunny thoughts- our high energy day moved outside which is always a better place for us to be!

Update...Now it is raining and super windy again! The curse of the blog...

  1. That's funny. I was laughing as my Lunchee and my Ruff Dog were singing "Mr. Sun" as we drove home in the rain today. Now I know why they were singing it!
